Elevate Advanced Manufacturing

Northeast Iowa Community College

About this school

Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) is a public, two-year institution, serving eight counties in northeast Iowa.  Founded in 1966, NICC offers credit and non-credit programming in a variety of fields on two main campuses in Calmar and Peosta and six center and service locations in Dubuque, Cresco, Manchester, New Hampton, Oelwein  and Waukon.  The College’s Business and Community Solutions division provides workforce training, adult literacy programming and distance learning opportunities. This division also offers Career Pathway Certificate (CPC) training programs in advanced manufacturing that provide a set of connected courses and credentials, as well as related support services, that enable students to combine school and work, and advance over time to secure better jobs and higher levels of education and training within a particular industry .

With small class sizes, more than 84 programs of study that lead to in-demand careers and instructors who want students to succeed, it is no wonder more than 7,000 students choose to enroll at NICC each year. More than 94 percent of NICC alumni are either employed or continuing their education six months after graduation -  which speaks volumes about the success of students and the quality of a Northeast Iowa Community College education.
