Featherlite is a leading manufacturer of all-aluminum horse trailers, stock trailers, car trailers, recreational trailers, utility trailers and specialty trailers.
Featherlite’s products include horse trailers, livestock trailers, car trailers, ATV trailers, snowmobile trailers, cargo trailers, utility trailers and commercial trailers. Featherlite custom designs and manufactures mobile command and communication centers as well as mobile lab, mobile medical, mobile hazardous materials, training, law enforcement, kitchen, vending, office and event marketing trailers, among other trailer applications.
Featherlite trailers are available at one of our over 180 dealers across the U.S., Canada and select international locations, while our custom specialty trailers are sold through a team of Specialty Sales representatives to companies, organizations, race teams and businesses across the U.S. and internationally. Much of Featherlite’s business of its trailers sold through dealers is in the leisure and recreational industries with trailers being used for horses, cars, ATVs, motorcycles and other “toys”. In addition, trailers are used for business and commercial purposes including by farmers and contractors.
Established in 1973, the Featherlite brand was the first in the specialty trailer industry to build and market all aluminum gooseneck horse and stock trailers.
Featherlite is the official trailer of NASCAR®, and over 85% of NASCAR teams use Featherlite race transporters.
Featherlite Trailers was honored as the number one manufacturer of livestock trailers for 2013. Featherlite’s award was determined based on retail registrations of livestock trailers in 2013 according to Statistical Surveys, Inc. data. This is the seventh consecutive year Featherlite has received this award for manufacturing the best selling livestock trailers.
Featherlite is located in scenic northeast Iowa in the community of Cresco, Iowa. Featherlite has been part of the community since 1979 when the first Featherlite plant was built.

Featherlite strongly supports the development of all our employees. We have a full time Training Coordinator on staff to provide production employees with hands on development training. Also, we offer monthly onsite welding training for new and current staff and offsite CNC machining training.

We partner with NICC along with Alco Tech and other training institutions to provide top quality development opportunities for our staff.
